Are we accountable?
This is actually a very important question that bridges the gap between victim and victor. The pathway to get from sick to healed. The painful, yet necessary, leap from “this is being done to me”, to “what am I going to do about it?”. Taking back your Mind, Body, and Soul, and living on purpose instead of existing in fear.

What have you been putting off being accountable for? Are you learning and growing as much as you could be right now? Are you forgiving for the sake of your own healing? Are you seeking help and taking medication or whatever the treatment for your particular situation is? Is there something you could do to help your healing journey? Write it out. Be honest with yourself and find the courage to be accountable.

Are we accountable if we operate in ignorance?
In some cases, is ignorance a choice? Would the very act of choosing ignorance negate ignorance as an excuse? “You don’t know what you don’t know” is true, but are we accountable to learn? To ask? To grow?
Is that why I’m so curious all the time? Because I’ve chosen to feed the beast of wisdom, who is never satisfied?
There has to be a bigger pattern to all of this.
How can we not be manipulated when the very act of manipulation means we don’t understand the bigger picture? How can we be accountable to that? Even in my pursuits- that can be maddening- trying to figure out the patterns, I’m still no closer to the truth.
What is the bigger picture? How do we fight spiritual battles when we exist in the physical realm? It doesn’t seem fair. We are fighting in the dark and often helping the enemy in the process. Who exactly are we fighting- and more importantly- Why are we fighting? What are we fighting for?
So many “truths” are presented to us. But how many are false manipulations, deceptions, or distractions? How do we get to the bottom of it all? Is the process of learning ourselves, schooling, career, family, retirement, and recreational activities, the answer, or is that a distraction and manipulation?
Mowing the yard, planting flowers, taking the kids to practice, is that a deception keeping us preoccupied with inconsequential tasks with irrelevant outcomes?
Throughout time our society has been shaped by those “in charge”- who are these people? or entities?
They prepackage “dreams” and sell them to us at top dollar. We only get to pick which “dream” represents us. And that “dream” costs us our wellbeing, happiness, and sometimes, our life. What would happen if we didn’t pick a prepackaged “dream”? Well, society will mock you, call you lazy, and label you crazy. If you can overcome being an outcast, rejecting the “dream” may hold the answer.
I’ve come to understand that the more this world pushes something, the more that thing they are pushing becomes a clue to the bigger picture being revealed.
Buying a house, for example, represents success. But the reality is that we generally have a mortgage, insurance, taxes, maintenance, repairs, obligations, and discontentment that will cause us to move so more taxes can be collected, more stuff can be purchased, and often we move for bigger spaces which increase our maintenance obligations. There is no “success” in the above equation. At least not for the home owner.
The same is true for careers with expensive schooling that will suck years and decades of your lifeforce into a meaningless pursuit to gain money, prestige, and more worldly obligations. There is always the possibility of ruining your career with a single bad decision or the market crashing, employment ending, or your health feeling the stress of your pursuits and ending your career. A car accident, a business going bankrupt, scammers on the inside, countless ways to make a career a waste of time. But that’s how you make money.
And really, money is what it all comes down to. Most things in life revolve around it. The Bible says you can’t serve God and money, you will hate the one and love the other. Money is not the answer, it is the enemy. Serving is “loving”. The love of money is the root of all evil. That’s a big statement. Money is the driving force of this world.
In the Bible, Jesus told a rich man, sell all you have and come follow me. That man went away sad because he had so much to walk away from. When it came time to pay the taxes, Jesus got money from the mouth of a fish! Jesus said, give to Cesar what is Cesar’s and to God what is God’s. Which shows the two forces of God vs money. They don’t operate together and God doesn’t want anything to do with it.
It’s not lost on my that the streets of heaven are paved with gold. Not all that sparkles is gold. Where your treasure is, there your heart shall be also. Build up your treasure in heaven, where moths and thieves cannot destroy it. God’s currency is not money. We pursue money and make it our god. You can’t have both. Choose. Don’t be ignorant. Seek first the kingdom of heaven and all these things shall be added to you.
The Father knows what you have need of, trust Him.
*I think my writings went towards money because I was raised in poverty. Earning my way up was hard and often I fought tooth and nail just to get the privlages others took for granted. The whole system made me angry. And knowing that it was set up for failure, just fueled my anger.
